Black Hair; Laid

A series that celebrates something cherished across the Black diaspora—laying our hair down. In our journey of assimilation, we’ve crafted a unique style that’s hard to define, but we all know it as 'laying our hair down.' Using gel, toothbrushes, fine-tooth combs, and swoops, we mold our hair into swirls, sleek lines, and organic shapes that highlight our individuality. It’s an art form born from our distinct texture, turning our hair into a canvas of creative expression.
