Black Family Livin'
This series is a reflection of what I’ve witnessed in my daily life—my beautiful, 'ghetto,' and undeniably Black family. It’s a celebration of the rich culture that shaped me, because African American culture is absolutely worth celebrating. For me, the ordinary lives of African Americans are art, as we’ve always mastered the art of making something out of nothing. I’ve witnessed this resilience and creativity firsthand, which deeply inspires my work. Through these pieces, I transform our everyday experiences into beauty, offering a message of hope. Even in our hardest times, we become alchemists, turning struggle into something powerful and uplifting.
