Letting Love Go

This self-portrait reflects my personal journey of releasing love rooted in self-sacrifice—a narrative deeply ingrained in many Black women. I question the generational teachings that equate love with endurance, silence, and suffering. Through this work, I reclaim my right to love without losing myself, to honor my boundaries, and to see softness not as weakness but as a revolutionary act. Letting Love GO is about choosing self-worth over survival-based attachment and embracing a love that doesn’t require diminishing oneself to feel worthy of care.
